Set Up Single Instructions
==========================

You can create a single instruction when a task needs to be executed only once. 

To set up a single instruction, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to :menuselection:`Configuration --> Sequencing & Applications --> Scheduling Service` from the menu.
2. In the **Scheduling Service** pane, click the **Send Single Instruction** button (top right).
3. In the **Send Instruction** dialog, enter data as follows:

   a. Select the relevant service from the drop-down list in the **Service** field.
   b. Select an instruction from the drop-down list in the **Instruction** field. The available options depend on the service that you selected above. For detailed information about the available instructions for each service, see the **Available Instructions** tab on the **Scheduling Service** pane.

         Instructions containing ``ByRange``, ``Historical`` or ``Replay`` in their names are replay options. For more information about replays, see :ref:`conf.seq.sched.replay`.
     
   c. Depending on the instruction, additional input fields may appear (for example, selecting a specific item to schedule). Enter data for these fields as required. 
   
      For example, Calculation Engine Service instructions require options described in :ref:`conf.calc.flowsheet.sched.cg_sched`.

4. Click **Send** to execute the instruction.
