Manage Users

You can create and manage user accounts on the Users tab of the User Management pane as described below.

Create A New User

  1. Choose Configuration ‣ User Management from the menu and go to the Users tab.

  2. Click add Add User on the top of the tab page.

  3. In the New User Registration dialog, enter data as follows:

    Field

    Description

    Email

    Enter the email address of the user.

    First Name

    Specify the first name of the user.

    Last Name

    Specify the last name of the user.

    Role

    Select the role that you want to assign to the user. The role determines the permissions the user will have. These roles are set up on the Roles tab (see Manage User Roles).

    Password

    Specify an initial password for the user. The user can change this password upon their first login.

    Confirm Password

    Reenter the password above to confirm.

  4. Click Submit to save your changes.

    Result

    A new row for the user gets added to the grid under Users.

Manage Users

Once a user has been created in the system, you can update their data, delete their account, reset their password or assign user roles to them using the corresponding button in the Actions column on the Users tab. See below for more details.

Edit Users

  1. Click edit in the Actions column for the required user.

  2. Update either of the following fields in the grid:

    • Email address

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Is External

  3. Click saveblue in the Actions column to save your updates or cancel if you want to discard your changes.

Delete Users

  1. Click delete in the Actions column for the required user.

  2. In the dialog that opens, click Delete to confirm deletion or Cancel to cancel deletion.

    Result

    The user account is deleted from WIP and the entry is removed from the grid.

Reset Password

  1. Click tool in the Actions column for the required user.

  2. In the dialog that opens, enter the new password and confirmation password.

  3. Click Reset to apply the new password to the user or Cancel to cancel password reset.

Edit User Role

  1. Click user in the Actions column for the required user.

  2. In the dialog that opens, select the role that you want to assign to the user. The available roles are set up on the Roles tab (see Manage User Roles).

  3. Click Submit to save your changes or Cancel to cancel the role reassignment.
