Rename Tags

The Rename Tags tool allows you to rename tags in bulk by uploading an Excel file with the new tag names. This ensures efficient and accurate updates to your tag names.

Before uploading the data, ensure that your Excel file is in the required format so the system can interpret the data correctly.

Tip

Use the Download Rename Tags Template button on the Tools: Rename Tags pane to generate an Excel template in the correct format. Update the template as needed with the new tag names.

To rename tags in bulk, follow the steps below:

1. Choose Configuration ‣ Data Management ‣ Tools ‣ Rename Tags from the menu.

2. Click Choose File on the Tools: Rename Tags pane, navigate to the file that contains the new tag names, and open it.

3. Click Rename Tags to initiate the renaming process.

   Result

   The data from the Excel file is imported, and the tag names are updated in the system.
